MGIMO Teacher Anastasia Ignatova posed for Pirelli Calendar

MGIMO Professor Anastasia Ignatova posed for the famous Pirelli calendar, along with fourteen actresses, including Uma Thurman, Charlotte Rampling, Nicole Kidman, Léa Seydoux, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz and Julianne Moore.

According to Harper's Bazaar, photographer Peter Lindbergh was chosen to shoot the calendar for 2017. The shooting took place in May and June in northern France, Los Angeles, London and New York, and in the end of August there were first pictures from the backstage. The main focus was not on nude models, but on personal achievements of photo shoot members.

The MGIMO professor Anastasia Ignatova teaches in the political theory department. In 2009, she graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the MFA of Russia on specialty "Public relations" with the knowledge of the English language and specialization "Public relations in the sphere of business." In 2013, she graduated from the graduate school at the department of political theory of MGIMO (U) MFA Russia by assigning degrees of candidate of political sciences. Ignatova is married, she has a daughter.

Pirelli company produces their calendars for more than half a century - the first calendar was released in 1964. The publication has a circulation of only 30 thousand copies and distributed among the company's partners. For a long time the hallmark of the company were pictures of naked celebrities, but in 2016 Pirelli radically changed the concept. The author of the pictures was a famous American photographer Annie Leibovitz. She chose influential women of different ages as models. The widow of John Lennon - the artist Yoko Ono, tennis player Serena Williams, American singer and poet Patti Smith, the Russian model Natalia Vodianova, and others were among Pirelli’s models.
