Jewelry collections of de Grisogono: legends of tomorrow
"They left a mark on history, they became legends. Like the one who created them. Like women who wore them, "- de Grisogono describe their iconic jewelry collections. And this is the rare case when pathetics are quite appropriate, because the ornaments and their creator Fawaz Gruosi are more than worthy of the legendary status.
At the Baselworld-2017, de Grisogono presented updates to its most famous collections.
The Allegra collection, which Fawaz Gruosi named after his first daughter, appeared in 2003. Volumetric and at the same time light and elegant bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces created from the seemingly randomly reshaping spherical and arc-shaped elements, became a bestseller from the first presentation. For fourteen years of existence Allegra has already become a classic, while one that does not become outdated and does not go out of fashion. And the talent of Gruosi is that he does not repeat himself year after year, but creates new original interpretations of Allegra.
This year, the main materials were pink and white gold and colorless diamonds. Among the most interesting jewelry - open rings and bracelets toi e moi came out incredibly sensual, and the original jewelry-transformers. The large earring consists of two parts, the lower one of which is unfastened (the earring in this case turns into a stud) and can be worn as a pendant pendant on a leather string. The length of the string can be changed, turning the jewelry even into a choker, or in a sotoir.
Boule decorations, whose main design element is a large sphere, were first introduced in 1999. Over the years, they have become the favorite jewels of stars for exits on the red carpet. And it was possible to pick up something new - the Boule was transformed several times: inlaid with a pava of precious stones and appeared in polished gold, faceted in the manner of honeycomb and engraved with oriental arabesques.
In 2017, Gruosi presents bracelets, rings and earrings with spheres embedded in ornamental stones (quartz and turquoise), combined with colored "pear" and "snowy pave" shaped stones. Inspired by the art deco geometry and the characteristic elements of the haute couture outfits, the Ventaglio collection is very young - for the first time these decorations were presented in 2016.
Then Gruosi revealed to the world ear-fans studded with precious stones (the total weight of stones is about 20 carats) in several color variations, this year he supplemented the collection with large rings, a necklace with a fan-pendant on the chain and asymmetrical bracelets.
Where the Onde collection has changed more - earlier it was famous for its smooth-shaped ornaments, reminiscent of very slowly rolling waves, now Gruosi decided to arrange a real whirlpool, famously twisting the wavy elements in a spiral. Press-service
Decorated with a pava of precious stones, the elements in Onde are combined with polished pink or white gold. Updates did not change the essence: it is still perfectly recognized Onde and flawlessly recognizable de Grisogono.
