Milan by Madina Visconti

The director of the OMV jewelry studio, and member of a prominent Milanese family, Madina Visconti shows us around her city.

MY ROOM: “This vintage shop, next door to my studio, looks more like a private living room. I go there often, to buy a handbag, a pair of sunglasses or something unusual and unexpected.”

THE BRERA BOTANICAL GARDEN: “When the weather’s nice, I like to stroll through this magnificent garden, created in the 19th century by the University of Milan to grow medicinal plants. A small but lovely space.” Orto Botanico di Brera, Université de Milan, via Brera 28. ortibotanici.unimi.itThe exhibitions are always interesting, and the space overlooks Parco Villa Campiglio, one of Milan’s most beautiful parks.”

LA LATTERIA: “A tiny restaurant, with a limited menu, that doesn’t take reservations… But it’s really good! And the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, you feel like you’re at home. I like to go there with small groups of friends.”

Via San Marco 24. Tél. +39 02 659 7653

PASTICCERIA GALDINA MILANO: “Not your usual pastry shop. Tucked away in a courtyard, it has the feel of a room in a private residence. The cakes and pastries are all house-made from seasonal ingredients.”
