“Leave us alone!”: Jenna Ortega responded to Johnny Depp affair rumors

The 20-year-old Wednesday star had to explain herself on social media. 

News that was not expected - the gossip portal DuexMoi suspected Johnny Depp and Jenna Ortega of a romantic relationship. The authors of the publication came to this conclusion after the couple was allegedly seen together. But before fans had time to discuss the significant age difference of the “lovers” - after all, Johnny is already 60, and Jenna is only 20 - the “Wednesday” star herself decided to clarify the situation on social networks.

"This is so funny that I can't even laugh. I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone,” Jenna wrote indignantly in Stories format, and then deleted the post.

Depp's representatives also issued a statement:

Mr Depp does not have any personal or professional relationship with Ms Ortega. He never met her or spoke to her. He is not involved in any joint project with her and does not intend to participate. “He is appalled by these unfounded and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career,” they said, thereby refuting talk of Johnny's possible participation in the sequel to “Beetlejuice,” which began filming this spring in London. In the new film, Ortega plays the daughter of the grown-up Lydia.
