The most famous singer in Ukraine Sofia Rotaru owns luxury real estate in Moscow. However, Rotaru could not sell it: the artist with Ukrainian citizenship understands that she will not be able to transfer a large amount abroad, where her son and grandchildren now live.

For almost a year, 76-year-old Sofia Rotaru did not make herself felt on social networks. But on August 24, 2023, the singer published a photo with her son - on the day of his 53rd birthday. Fans immediately began to figure out where a bright shot was taken against the background of a field and sunflowers: we are in a hurry to inform you that the photo is old, archival, was published several times, including two years ago. Many artists (who have something to hide or to create a false impression about themselves) began to publish archival photos and videos on social networks in order not to reveal their real pastime or whereabouts. They can even put down a fictitious geolocation: and fans take everything at face value.

The last relevant information that appeared six months ago about Rotaru was this: Sofia Mikhailovna, as before, lives in her mansion - in an elite village 30 km from Kyiv. But among representatives of show business, information appeared that this summer Sofia Rotaru reunited with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson - they have been living in Italy for more than a year. Earlier, it was in Italy that Sofia Rotaru bought a foreign house, registering it for her only son Ruslan. Ruslan Evdokimenko settled in Italy with his wife Svetlana, 29-year-old son Anatoly, and his 22-year-old daughter Sophia lives in the USA, but often visits her relatives. Singer Rotaru also joined her son, daughter-in-law and grandson in the summer.

Producer Ilya Sagliani tells kp.ru: “According to rumors, Rotaru is now really with his family in Italy. It was in Italy that Rotaru bought property for her family. We were told that Rotaru currently does not have a single property abroad. And the apartment in Moscow is closed. It is unlikely that any of the artist's colleagues in Moscow with the right (patriotic) position will contact and help her with the sale of housing. It will be difficult to sell it."

In Moscow, Rotaru owns an apartment of 120 square meters on Zoological Street. Similar apartments are now up for sale for 60 million rubles. The concierge has not seen Sofia Mikhailovna here for two and a half years. How did this apartment come to Rotaru? 20 years ago, after the death of her husband, Sofia Rotaru and her son's family were going to move from Ukraine to Russia. The singer said: “At one time they thought of moving to Moscow, but then they nevertheless settled on Kyiv. My sister Aurika, relatives of my son's wife, already lived there. At first they lived in an apartment, and then they moved into a house. According to legend, Sofia Rotaru bought an apartment in Moscow herself. And the singer stayed in it when she flew in to perform. However, recently the former Russian director of Sofia Rotaru, Olga Konyakhina, said that Yury Luzhkov organized an apartment on Zoological for Rotaru: “They allocated an apartment because a singer like her comes often, but stays in hotels.”

They wrote a lot that she loved to earn fees in cash - in envelopes. The star invested the fees in the foreign education of her grandchildren and in real estate. In Russia, Sofia Rotaru also has property in the Crimea. The singer sold an apartment in Yalta on Gogol Street with an area of ​​178 sq. m. The house near Rotaru in the suburbs of Yalta - the village of Nikita, she did not sell it, since this is a memory of her husband. But no one bought an expensive object - a hotel (rewritten to his son) for five years of sales, since they asked for a lot of money (20 million euros) for it. Closed hotel stands in the center of Yalta - it has 12 rooms, plus a restaurant. The singer opened the hotel in 2008, and long before that she rented this land for 20 years, then bought it. Sofia Mikhailovna promised to build a center for talented children, but a business project grew up instead: a hotel for the rich and a restaurant. By the way, at the same time (2008), by decision of the Crimean parliament, Sophia Rotaru was allocated 14 acres of land in the village of Massandra for free, where she grew vegetables for her hotel restaurant. Until 2019, the hotel brought income to the Rotaru family. When the 2019 season was closed, the hotel was closed at the same time and put up for sale - to no avail. They say that Sofia Rotaru recently purchased housing abroad (Europe and the USA) and recorded it on her grandchildren.
