How does Renata Litvinova live? Look at her cozy apartment in the center of Paris (photos)
For more than a year now, Renata Litvinova has been living in the capital of France, where she stages plays and leads the life of a real Parisian - with the same morning coffee in a cafe, walks along the streets and shopping in her favorite Balenciaga boutique.

In fact, Renata Litvinova has long lived in two countries, shuttling back and forth between Paris and Moscow. In France, she has a daughter, Ulyana, from her first marriage, who went there back in 2012, enrolling in the prestigious Parisian school Ecole des Roches. At first, the actress stayed in expensive hotels, but it was quite expensive to constantly rent rooms at her beloved Ritz, so she began renting an apartment on Avenue Montaigne. It was cozy there, but too noisy and “touristy”. That’s when the idea came to buy my own home in Paris - and preferably in some quiet quarter, away from tourist places.

Suitable apartments were found in the second arrondissement on Boulevard Bon Nouvel - one of the historical Parisian streets with an interesting history. Here, for example, in house No. 6 there is the famous Gymnase theater - one of the oldest Parisian “boulevard” theaters, existing since 1820 and which opened the genre of vaudeville to the public. Stendhal also wrote about this theater: “The Gymnasium is the only place where you can see modern comedy.” So the place where the actress decided to settle is truly iconic, with a rich theatrical past. As for the apartment itself, there is little information about it: Renata does not like to show it on her social networks (there you can much more often see photographs of her favorite Balenciaga boutique, where she goes to work). From the few photographs, it is clear that the apartment is located in an old house with five-meter ceilings, antique windows, parquet floors, a balcony and a luxurious formal living room. The main decoration of the living room is, of course, the antique fireplace in the marble portal, near which the actress loves to take pictures. Above it hangs an antique mirror up to the ceiling, which beautifully reflects the stucco molding, the “rosette” on the ceiling and the crystal chandelier. There is a carpet on the floor in the living room. The old double doors with a height of more than two meters with panels, the pattern of which repeats the boiserie on the walls , and the sand shade chosen for the walls, which in daylight takes on an olive tone, deserve special enthusiastic words. In one of her interviews, the actress described her new “nest” as follows: “In my opinion, this is a design masterpiece - the way it is made, the way the space is played out, which in the far rooms diverges into two floors. It's like a hidden gem inside a 17th century building. I have a hard time leaving her.” The apartment is divided into two parts: a front part with a living room and a private part, with windows facing the courtyard and the second level - the personal territory of the owner of the house. It is noteworthy that the kitchen is not combined with the living room in a modern way, but is located “in the old fashioned way” in a separate room. The actress correctly captured the spirit of this apartment and did not destroy the old walls for the sake of modern fashion. She likes to make herself coffee in the morning in the coffee machine, and then go to her “high rooms” and sit with a cup in her chambers on an antique chair by the balcony. Speaking of armchairs, the furnishings include antique furniture and a large number of works of art, mainly modern: it allows you to reduce the degree of “pathos” usually inherent in classical interiors and create a subtle dialogue between the past and the present, traditional and current. The same purpose is served by numerous plants in tubs and pots, which give the formal space a homely, cozy atmosphere, into which the white cat Hercule, whom the actress picked up at her dacha in Russia, fits perfectly.
