Princess Charlene of Monaco lives in Switzerland, and meets her husband, Prince Albert II, "only on schedule." This was reported by a number of European media.

As journalists found out, 45-year-old Charlene spent the summer traveling on a yacht with her 65-year-old husband and eight-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella, but after that she did not return to the palace and lives abroad.

A source close to the couple told French newspaper Voici that the former Olympic swimming champion and Grace Kelly's son are only giving the appearance that they are a couple. It is specified that Charlene promised to return to Monaco for official ceremonies and now she is allowed to see her children more often.

"Albert and Charlene are now just good partners, they take turns taking care of the children," a source told the German newspaper Bild .

In 2021, after a trip to South Africa, Charlene became seriously ill and spent 10 months away from her family. Shortly after she returned to Monaco, she again went for treatment: Prince Albert declared that his wife was "depressed" and "unwell". As it became known to journalists, Charlene went for treatment to a private clinic in Switzerland, where nervous disorders are treated . As Albert said, she herself made the decision when she realized that "she could not cope with official duties, life in general and family life." After Charlene's final return to the palace, the network began to suspect problems in the couple's marriage: in all official photographs, the princess looked sad, and her smile seemed forced. Albert himself denied problems in the family, attributing this to his wife's health .

Soon, the publication Voici reported that Charlene and Albert allegedly entered into an agreement, according to which the prince undertook to pay his wife for joint exits.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene married in 2011, and in 2014 the couple had twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques. Numerous scandals are associated with the name of Albert: he was suspected of cheating on his wife, he also has two illegitimate children who were born before his marriage to Charlene. And recently it became known about a corruption scandal associated with the close circle of the prince.
